We have established valuable links with both local and national employers and every year we welcome them into our school community to share their industry knowledge with our students. Trips to employer workplaces also provide great opportunities for students to experience the workplace and find out what life outside a classroom is like first hand.

Berkshire Hair Hub

The Berkshire Hair Hub has been developed with clients in mind, creating hair which works for each unique individual and their style.

Career opportunities within DHL are as diverse as their teams all over the world.

FSP

Team FSP is a Microsoft Gold Partner providing digital transformations to the public and private sector.

The Army

Protecting the UK's interests at home and abroad, providing a safe and secure environment.

 


Careers Fair

On Monday 15 July 2024 students from Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 will have exposure to these employers hosting at our Careers Fair:

AWE, Army, Berkshire Hair Hub, Complete Academy, DHL, FSP and more names to be announced soon.

We will also have a number of education providers attending from Brakenhale Sixth Form, Bracknell & Wokingham College, University of Reading and University of Hertfordshire.

 


Careers Day

On Wednesday 6 March 2024 we have a number of employers coming to the school to carry out mock interviews with our Year 10 students - they will be from the following industries: Beauty, Business & Sales, Catering & Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering and motor vehicles, Football, Hairdressing, Human Resources, IT, Film, Finance, Marketing & Media, Sports, Teaching and Childcare.

  • Year 11 - External career guidance (Post16 options) provided by Adviza

October 2023

  • Year 11 - External career guidance (Post-16 options) provided by Adviza (continued)
  • Year 11 - (Football career path students) - visit from Complete Academy to discuss their Post16 provision

November 2023

  • Year 11 - External career guidance (Post-16 options) provided by Adviza (continued)
  • Year 12 - External career guidance (Post-18 options) provided by Adviza
  • Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 - Unifrog career session week commencing 20 November

December 2023

  • Year 11 - External career guidance (Post-16 options) provided by Adviza (continued)
  • Year 11 - visit Brakenhale Sixth Form for a Taster Day
  • Year 11 - all students advised to have applied for their education Post-16 options by the end of this term

January 2024

  • Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 - Unifrog career session week commencing 22 January
  • Year 8 - careers assembly with external inspirational guests, 16 January
  • Year 11 to start applying for Apprenticeship applications if that is one of their Post-16 preferences

March 2024

  • Year 10 - Careers Drop Down Day 6 March
  • Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 - Unifrog career session week commencing 11 March
  • Year 11 - more Apprenticeships will become available after this time, so students should keep applying if that is one of their Post16 preferences

April 2024

  • Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 - Unifrog career session week commencing 22 April
  • Year 7 - careers assembly with external inspirational guests, 22 April

May 2024

  • Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 - Unifrog career session week commencing 20 May
  • Year 8 - careers assembly with external inspirational guests, 6 May

June 2024

  • Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 - Unifrog career session week commencing 24 June

July 2024

  • Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 - Careers Fair with guests from further education, higher education, employers from the public and private sector 15 July
  • Year 10 - Post-16 Careers assembly with external inspirational guests 18 July
