Students Showcase Creativity in Food Projects

Year 9 students have been working incredibly hard on their ROA projects. They were tasked with researching a country of their choice and preparing a dish inspired by their findings. A key focus for this project was on plating and presentation, and students demonstrated great creativity and attention to detail in their final dishes.

Year 7 students have also completed their ROA, with a focus on bread rolls. As part of their project, they planned and made their own bread rolls from scratch. Those aiming higher experimented by incorporating additional ingredients such as cheese, garlic, and herbs, producing some fantastic results.

Year 10 students have been focusing on their coursework project and are currently planning to prepare two dishes for their chosen target groups after Easter. This will be their first opportunity to select dishes based on a brief and to develop their skills in presentation and decoration.

Year 11 students have been working extremely hard on their GCSE coursework, which contributes 60% towards their final grade. They have completed their final practical exam this term and have performed exceptionally well. Year 11, I am so proud of you and the progress you are making—keep it up!
