We are delighted to announce that Brakenhale has been nominated as a Lexia Star School in recognition of the excellent work taking place across the school in implementing the Lexia programme and the positive progress our students are making as a result.

Lexia is a highly effective literacy programme designed to support students in developing their reading, comprehension, and vocabulary skills. The nomination reflects the hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm shown by both students and staff in embracing the programme and striving for continued improvement.

The Lexia programme at Brakenhale is led by Ms Wilks and Ms Khan, whose dedication and support have played a key role in the programme’s success. Their encouragement and guidance have helped students build confidence and make significant progress in their literacy journey.

This nomination is a fantastic achievement for the whole school community, and we are incredibly proud of everyone involved.
