KS3 Showcase Outstanding 3D Design Work

This term, our Year 7 students have been busy completing their exciting 3D Design clock project, creating fully functioning clocks inspired by the bold geometric artwork of Piet Mondrian.

Students explored colour, composition and precision while developing practical making skills in the workshop. The finished outcomes demonstrate a fantastic combination of creativity, craftsmanship and individuality, with each clock reflecting the students’ own interpretation of Mondrian’s iconic style.

Our Year 9 3D Design students are also producing a wonderful range of imaginative and original responses to the ‘Tree Architecture’ design brief this term. Inspired by natural forms and sustainable design, students are exploring how architecture can interact with and respond to the environment.

The project has already resulted in an impressive variety of creative concepts, showcasing thoughtful problem-solving, strong model-making skills and a high level of innovation throughout the year group.
