In-year admissions

We look forward to welcoming new students to Brakenhale School at any point in the academic year.  We are a school where students wear their uniform with pride, they behave extremely well and where teachers teach lessons so that students can succeed with their learning.

We appreciate that moving to a new school is a huge adjustment for students and their families.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.  We look forward to meeting you and working together.

To apply for a place in Year 7 after 1 September and for admission to Years 8 to 11 at Brakenhale School, parents should complete the In-Year Application Form which can be found below.

Where there are more applicants than places available, the school will maintain a waiting list according to the oversubscription criteria detailed in the school’s admission arrangements without regard to the date the application was received or when a child’s name was added to the waiting list.

Positions on waiting lists may go down as well as up. This is because other children might be added to the waiting list who have a greater priority for a place against the school’s admission criteria; for example, when new families move into the area or when other families who have not previously named Brakenhale School as a preference, ask to go on the waiting list after the initial allocations date.
